“Hoe for Love” is a road trip through the deserts and lush valleys of Morocco, illustrating the ups and downs in the search of love. The self-proclaimed “hoe” keeps giving herself away, however not her body, but a piece of her soul. The song speaks on the admittedly naive resilience of human kind to fall in love over and over again after disappointment and rejection. The imposed term “hoe” is deliberately assimilated, annexed and therefore reassigned. The stomping beat of the song accentuates the militancy, while opera-esque harmonies underline the courage behind vulnerability. Shot mainly by the analog photographer Ina Aydogan and edited by Simp, “Hoe for Love” is a loving homage to the B-movies of the 60ies and 70ies like “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!”
